Buy, Donate, Read, Review. Details below the fold.
Tale of the Tigers has garnered great reviews at Amazon and is slowly selling by word-of-mouth. Every person who has read it tells me the same thing: “I couldn’t put it down!” And member of Ace of Spades HQ’s MoronNation™ was kind enough, as well, to give praise to my timely story of the consequences of racial grievance and vengeance.
So, now my publisher, Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises, and I are planning a book release party here in LA for the first Saturday in October.
What I’d like for you to do is simple: buy my book and tell everyone you know about it. The price is down to $17.99 at both Amazon and Barnes&Noble—and it’s $16.99 if you buy it from my book site. It’s also available for Kindle download for $16.19.
(The button below is from the Tale of the Tigers site.)
And if you’d like to contribute to the Book Release Party fund, you can do so here:
If you donate more than $30, I’ll throw in an autographed copy of the book. If you donate more than $50, you’ll get a book and an invitation to the party.
If you’ve already bought the book, and you’d like an invitation to the party, please email me. Of the latter who bought Tale but didn’t buy it via my book site, please send me an image of your receipt.
BTW, for you fiction writers out there, my publisher is also conducting a Short Story Contest. The Grand prize is $1000 and the deadline is August 20. Here’s the one of the promotional videos.
We haven’t decided the number of people to invite yet. It, of course, depends on the venue; I do have one in mind, however.
This is the thing: I refuse to let the conditions of the day stop me from living my dream and, as I told Ian S.—one of those who praised my work—it seemed to me that the time was right, both socially and economically, to finish the book and get it into the hands of as many readers as possible. I hope that, over the years, I have built enough of a reputation for writing quality and that you’ll help me sell my novel and get the word out about it.
UPDATE: Another testimonial from Buford Gooch: "I bought the book and read it soon afterward. It is well written, enjoyable, and, if you're not careful, educational."
If you've read the book, please put up a review at the Amazon or Barnes&Noble review page.
