Heh. My Michael Steele post got linked by columnist Kathleen Parker in the WaPo and I got called a racist by name in the comments for--get this--not understanding Confederate history, as demonstrated by the fact that I'm a Republican.
You all do know the origin of my surname, don't you?
Oh, the layers are like that of an onion. Like The Onion, too.
(Thanks to Jeff R.)
UPDATE: A link from the Washington Post doesn't generate even a tenth of the traffic that a link from the Instapundit does! Just saying.
I like all the bizarre arguments in the comments that Democrats are morally superior to Republicans because Democrats are really the people who freed the slaves during the Civil War but they just changed their name from Republican because they didn't want to be associated with racist Republicans who were calling themselves Democrats at that time, so there.

Typically, the Ignorati consist of Ignorami.
It isn't about who is or isn't a racist, it's about how the term can be used as a cudgel to cow your enemies.
You will always be my most favorite racist, and I cannot wait until your book arrives.

Heheh. Like I told a talk host last night, being called "raaaaacist" these days is just one step away from being on par with Oblerdoof's Worst Person in the World.

Oh my yes, MTheads. Like that great leading
ProgressiveNeanderthalDemocratRepublican Woodrow Wilson, who singlehandedly led the charge byDemocratsRepublicans to dismantle decades of black progress underRepublicanDemocrat administrations by re-segregating American government.I tried to find the relevant comments at WaPo but quickly surrendered, repelled by the sewage stench of the many hundreds of comments.

Yeah, being called a racist by some left-wing thumbsucker is almost a badge of honor at this point.
I'd rather be insulted by a moron than by someone I actually respect.
