Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
Racist!!!
And…
Racist!!!
What the flock is up with the Right side of the Blogosphere?
LGF is gone. Charles Johnson is gone. Face it.
He was never ours. How about we let him take his delusions and slanders and paranoias and obsessions and falsehoods with him? How about we stop looking for racists under every bed or behind every computer screen the way he seems to? How about you all stop flogging yourselves and each other for his loss and for being fooled by him?
I'm over it.
Little Green Firedoglake is dead. Long live Little Green Firedoglake!

Thanks for seeing this Baldilocks. I've been wondering what the heck happened too.

Constant charges of "Racist!" is a sure sign of intellectual surrender... just see Jackson or the Rev Al for perfect examples.
As to Charles... he once performed a valuable service with the "Throbbing memo." But I've been done with him for quite a while now. The guy will get more nominations this year for his own "Fiskie" than all others combined (those nominees will of course be immediately banned and ridiculed as "Racist!" See above.)

It's a real shame, but being labeled "Racist" by the extreme left is demeaning the value of the term as applied to real racists.

I've always taken being called "Racist!" by the far left as an accolade. It means they have no counter-argument and have to resort to mindless name-calling.

It's the silly season between elections. Everybody's trying to tailor their political tents to their own preferences. This year's accusation of racism isn't so different from questioning somebody's patriotism over support for the Iraq war or calling somebody a neo-con if they believe in nation-building. It's just a shorthand way of kicking somebody out of your tent and labeling them as a pariah.
Says a whole lot more about the accuser than it does about the accusee, though, at least in my opinion. Namecalling is the lazy way to discredit your opponents. Saves doing hard stuff like thinking.

Nicely structured post--and good point. I not coincidentally started a tour in the Middle East at the same time CJ began to change. LGF's blocked here, so I've not seen any of this happen except on other blogs. It's like watching a star nova while it's eclipsed.

Hi baldilocks,
I couldn't help but notice that you attacked me on two different blogs before I said anything to you good or bad. Why have you stalked me on the RSM issue?
Peter J Barban

Mr. Barban, disagreement with your misconceptions is not an attack, even if I pronounce them hogwash. Grow a thicker skin or find another hobby.
And stalking? Don't flatter yourself. You and I happened to be interested in the same topic so we were at two of the same blogs commenting on that topic.

Here is your first insult from RSM's blog:
"baldilocks said...
With all sincerity, Pastor Barban, bullcrap. One thing our Lord hates: self righteousness. Look into it."
Here is your second insult from American Power:
"baldilocks said...
Mr. Barban:
Who gives a damn whether someone approves of your totally legal and moral life choices?
As long a they are not standing in your way, who cares what they think?"
Those are your only posts on those two threads. They are insults without substance.
I repeat, why are you doing this?
Posted by: Peter Barban | December 11, 2009 at 05:55 PM
If Charles Johnson says it lately, it stands a large chance of being BS.
Just sayin'
Now if I could find out why I was banned after a 4 week absence over there, that would be great.
With the commentariat at the time, I take that as a complement.
