Looks like Obama was wrong yet again. (Surprise!) Last time I checked, The New Yorker isn't run by Republicans.

It's the same old story--projection. Nice Afro on Michelle, though. (I mention this because white illustrators sometimes treat black hair in its natural state as if it's a mass of antennae on a space alien.)
Yes, it's tasteless and offensive, senator. So are you going to apologize to the Republican Party?
(Thanks to Ed Morrissey)
I think they were going for the Angela Davis look with Michele's hair. You know, give her that 70s revolutionary air that the old hippies identify with so closely.

I know. Thing is, it was a common hairstyle back then.

AFR 35-10. What was the limit, 2 inches bulk on a woman's hair, and 1 on a man's?
Ah, the good old days...

The New Yorker may not be run by Republicans but the the klan surely is.

Hi 'me!' I always know when I'm getting to you all when some of you start hurling silly invective. Thanks for providing the indication.

I'm starting to think that they should have portrayed Mrs. Obama wearing a dashiki (spell check actually knows that word, I'm surprised).
I heard some fellow on NPR this afternoon trying to argue that political satire directed at the Obamas should be off limits because they are black. So much for being equal and all that mess.
