LIBRARY FARE:
Still reading: The Vision of the Anointed by Thomas Sowell
Black Theology and Black Power by James Cone
Checked out: Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg
Juliette, I'm also reading "Vision of the Anointed", and just a few minutes ago picked up my "hold" "Liberal Fascism". Am posting this from the library. lol. I also have at home "King Leopold's Ghost". I bought that one. I'm thinking of buying "Vision of the Anointed" sometime in the future to have it on hand, since there's just so much info in it.

Excellent! I sold my copy of KLG a few years back but I'm putting it on my wishlist.
Steel yourself. It's an ugly book.

Hello,
If there's anyone out there interested in Iraq, and wants to read an great book that provides a revealing look into the lives of Iraqi women, try Sana Al-Khayyat, Honour & Shame: Women In Modern Iraq. ISBN: 0-86356-094-6
Let's just say, Iraqi men are a bit of a dud in the boudoir, LOL.
And now it's shameless plug time (LOL): The In T View: Rotten Gods: Burning A Quran In Iran
MG: Are you under any illusions as to what will will happen to you, if the Iranian regime discovers your identity? Will they accuse you of blasphemy and hang you from that giant crane?
Rotten Gods: I wish. I mean I wish Iran was a democratic country and I was free to express my opinion without fear of terror, sudden death, or death penalty in public. In blasphemy cases, sharia law strictly orders to hang, behead, or throw convicted from height e.g. mountain.
