Most Africans of a certain age are/were communists? Say it ain't so!
For Heaven's sake, my father's named his political column "The Fifth Column." Being a commie was all the rage for young Africans in the sixties. Why do you think most African countries are in the state they're in right now?
Obama Sr. as a free-market capitalist would have been a far more of a surprise.
Greg Ransom's post contains a lot of interesting and useful information about Kenyan political history--especially in light of the country's recent turmoil--but anyone who has even a cursory connection with older Africans knows that many of them bought into Socialism fully and continue to cling to the failed ideology well past the sell-by date. There is no question of "hiding" or not "hiding" the father's leanings. And Obama Jr.'s leanings are as plain as the nose on one's face as well. (Told ya so.)
What happened to the Meccachurian* Candidate whisper campaign?

So his father with whom he seldom interacted was possibly/probably a communist. Well that settles it; let's arrest Obama for sedition.

The ridiculousness of which is exactly my point.

Perhaps you should have qualified it as ridiculousness in the original post. Putting it out there as you have done is like throwing raw meat to the lions. You do know what the Obama haters who call him Osama Hussien will do with it, don't you?

Well it does make the title of Obama's book more interesting doesn't it?

It's not my job to raise other peoples' children, brotherbrown. Either one can read and click on a link or he cannot.

I get it; just an innocent observation.

From PrestoPundit:
Ahh. Nothing like the classic "biting the hand that feeds", eh?In any case, the juxtaposition of both Obamas' writings make it clear that Jr will take us down the socialist path to ruin. If nothing else, socialists are bitter optimists in that for every failed policy, they blindly believe that if they redouble their efforts, the next time would be a charm.
To whit Papa Obama's conviction that pioneers like Nkrumah, Nyerere, and Toure failed because their policies were like weak tea compared to the strong tea of "scientific" socialism. And so, here we are, Obama Jr is still a fool, in spite of having had the best education that money can buy. Like father, like son and proof that knowledge <> wisdom.

Yeah, I saw that about Mboya also.
The thing about Junior's socialist/communist tendencies and associations is this: it's all out in the open and has been for some time. I can't figure out why anyone is surprised by it.

I just hope the 2 jackanape dems will continue to tear each other apart all the way to the convention, forever tainting themselves in the process.
In the long run, we need to "de-professionalize" politics, i.e. term limits and/or repeal the 17th Amendment.
Finally, if there's someone we can blame/thank for Obambi's ascension to national politics, it'll be Jack Ryan, or whatever his name, that was married to 7 of 9 and revealed to be kinky & abusive.

Or blame Jeri Ryan's lawyer. Either way, always blame the lawyer.
