Did anyone else have to manually change their satellite- and Internet-synced hardware to reflect the change in time this weekend? Not that it's a big hardship but I seem to remember this happening automatically on previous occurrences.
UPDATE: Get this--I changed my computer's clock to the correct time, but the synchronizer changed it back (unchecking sync box). What's that about, geeks?
Credit CONgress for this nonsense. In its zeal to rule the universe it decreed changes to effective dlst dates. Of course your automatic software did not get the message as it pre exists the decree.
Last fall I had to manually change 96 clocks at my (then) place of business. Someone please tell the DC idiots that whatever energy they pretend to save at one end of the diurnal cycle is spent at the other; and that ethanol costs more energy to grow and refine than we get when we burn it.
