To the individuals who are using the domain name julietteochieng.com--which I own--to send out spam: may the blue screen of death be your constant companion.

Yeah, I just had that happen to me also.
What made it worse is that even after examining my email setup for the site, I couldn't tell if my site had been hacked or not.

Probably not. There is *no* validity checking for email. I can write a program to send out email to any one at any domain from any one at any domain that will run on any networked computer. All I need are the names.

They've been doing it to me for years. AOG is right, though there was a plan proposed to fight spam through such a validation scheme.
It doesn't seem to have gotten very far.

I had my web hosting company examine it in the end.
Managed hosting is the way to go. :)

That happens to my personal domain too. Not much you can do about it, although the huge amounts of "returned spam" for invalid email addresses is really annoying.

Juliette, I voted for you in what appears to be a losing quest for Best Blog...
But I wanted to VOTE FOR you, and your blog, whether or not others see you as a winner!
Enjoy your break. Drop over sometime and Post a rant at www.ICallBS.net
OR comment or download a couple entertaining MP3s...

Thanks Karridine. Indeed, it's the thought that counts.
