And I need help. I can’t keep up with the quick-moving events here at this blog and do my job at Pajamas Media too. I have about ten drafts in my control panel that got away from me as events moved on. However, don’t worry--I’m not shutting down. What I’d like to do is to take on three to five co-bloggers for about a month. Of course I have standards: no smut, keep the obscenities to a minimum (if you must use them, use asterisks; taking the Lord’s name in vain is out altogether). You don’t have to be a conservative or a Republican and you don’t have to have a blog of your own. (Hear that, Mom?)
If you’re interested, please email me at baldilocks-at-sbcglobal-dot-net. And I’ll try to throw in a few missives of my own during that time.
I, for one, will be glad when these midterm elections are over. And just to throw in a little commentary on the subject, I think that the Republicans with retain the Senate and that the House is a toss-up. I’d almost like to see the Democrats take the House just to see an impeachment vote—not a masochistic wish, but only one to see whether a Democrat-led House will put the country over vengeance (after doing various renditions of the happy dance, of course).
See you sooner than you think.
I'd love to contribute, but it seems I have a reputation for crapblogging that follows me around. All for three little posts.
And I'm not nearly political enough- though when I am, I'd cuss too much. But the invitation is such a nice thing-I can barely wait to see who would contribute!

I could concoct a few fauxtographs. Maybe we could start a hoax? :-)

At your command.

Miss Marie. I'm thinking that a good fauxtographic hoax would be a group shot of the full Senate with only the current Democrats shown and the Repoblican members head replaced with either dead Democrat leaders of the past, including Jimmah Carter, or popular cartoon characters heads like Hello Kitty, Bullwinkle, Spongebob, etc, or a mix. Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band should also be included, to harken back to their '60's heyday.
I hear that Tully, just say poop and I'll only ask how much and what color ;-D

That's a lot of work, Torchy!
I was thinking more along the lines of Baldidoll in a cat suit, kicking back in a big bowl of Halloween candy, waving a Tootsie Roll.
Would that be a trick? Or a treat??
I would LOVE to see Baldi's Mom blogging here. Oh, please, please, pretty please!

Miss Marie
Oh well, but it doesn't have to be a professional job, and especially since it's being applied to a group of amateurs, part of the mockery could stem from the obviousness of the forgery, but i'll defer to your experienced and skilled judgement of the graphic arts. As to whether a tootsie roll twirling Baldicat in repose would qualify as a trick or a treat might depend on how the tootsie roll is positioned. If pointed directly at the viewer I'd suspect a trick was afoot. If held vertically at shoulder height, like a Bette Davis ciggy, I'd feel that a treat was just as likely as a trick, and if held downward, as though it were being presented to a child, there'd be no question that I was witnessing a treat being safely delivered. I sorta doubt that you were inquiring about the mechanics I've detailed for such a photo, I just ran with those ideas (blushes). Regardless, all of your creations that have been presented here have always been a precious treat. :-D
I'd also love to see Miss Juliettes' Mom provide content and maybe someone can help inspire it by interviewing her about her background and her sources of inspiration and allowing her total editorial control of the findings in its final form, then presenting it here. I'd also love to see you, tully, og, justin(sigh) and others interviewed about their backgrounds and inspirations under the same editorial conditions. It could be done by email, telephone or computer messenger service. It'd be nice to see commenters backgrounds and efforts highlighted like this within every blog. Alot of content can also be drawn from past commentary by the person, ie by asking them to clarify and/or justify and/or embellish upon and/or update their published opinions, even drawing from their participation in other blogs. This project could produce enough content for an entry at least every month. It could also draw enough attention to attract more contributors to this blog.
Comments? Criticisms?

Never point a Tootsie Roll at folks!
As for my background, should it ever need depicting, I have a horse's hind end in mind. A Palamino, to be precise. For Justin, an Appaloosa. (spotted rump)
Remember, I'm hyper visual and I always try to draw, paint or Photoshop my way out of writing assignments. ;-)
