Hi folks. Sorry for the absence, but I’ve been like a one-legged woman in a booty-kicking contest in my new position as OSM’s Pajamas Media’s Blogger Relations person. (The site URL will eventually change.) Okay, I'm exaggerating; it hasn’t really been that overwhelming. I simply must learn to schedule again. And I get to work with some great people, doing something I believe in and making some money to boot, so what’s not to like?
As most interested parties know, 'OSM' reverted to 'Pajamas Media.' The verdict? As one Ms. Stewart might say, “it’s a good thing.” Initially I thought that various critics might let out a collective “WTF?” But the old name seems to have resonated with the public far more than 'Open Source Media,' not to mention reduce confusion with other similarly- or same-named ventures.
And as I told Roger Simon, a man should always listen to his daughters. My dad—a gray-haired man with three daughters—and my biological father—a balding man with four daughters—would undoubtedly concur.
Congrats Juliette!
So, you're PJM's resident Althousist?

Flannel camouflage or fleece with little 3 of clubs all over? I'll be in civilian pink with polar bears in red watch caps fleece from Vicky's Drawers.
You have mail.

Wow, I'd hate to be you.
What's the official word out of Pajamas Media about Dennis the Peasant?

Congratulations on your Pajamas Game gig. I am so jealous
You may be the only one of the 70 bloggers there (and I respect most of them) who actually mentions OSM/MSM/PJM in the first person. Others say "those folks at OSM"
I mean, Glenn does it and he is the Chairman of the Board
So congratulations are in order. I appreciate someone not pretending to be an outsider

Actually Don, I have used the third person here, when I was talking about other bloggets at OSM. And the first person here, here, here and here.

I must have missed the email with the announcement. Or is it arriving by singing telegram?

As one of the 300 - 70 = 230 (?) who signed up but got nada, too small I know -- what about having a B-list?
Or, let's see, after P ... a Q-list?
Anyway, I think Dennis the P. has some good points, and every BLOG right to tout them. I just want PJ Media to do better than MSM.
I fully agree on listening to daughters, but advise choosing the wife's advice if there is any conflict. (other than saving the world or ending poverty or that sort of male dreamy idealism...)

J, I'm happy about your new gig, but I can't help but feel as if you are in an extremely vulnerable position in terms of making none of the mistakes and getting much of the blame.... Especially given the PR flop so far....
But I know you're a big girl, so I'm going to trust your instincts on this one. Good luck.

J,
Good Luck!
Damn, you will NEED it!

Congratulations and best of luck with the position! I hope it all goes very well.

That would be awesome if they would actually tell us this stuff.
I'm trying my best to stay quiet and composed.

Obviously the PJM people needed a can do person. You're it...Congratulations.
Oh, by the way.. Happy Thanksgiving.

I really hope you help these guys be more forthcoming publicly about their plans.

Hopefully I've made it back into the interloop in time to wish Miss Juliette and all her fine guests a sumptuous feast for this Thanksgiving Day. I'll be wearing 3 club sammiches by time this weekend's done. :-D (chomp, chomp)

Maybe you could fill us in on what exactly you'll do for PM? Are you relating to the bloggers who are already on the payroll, the 230 who aren't but are in a middle land, or the bloggers who aren't members at all?
