We'll see what will come of this:
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia's ruler, King Fahd, died early Monday in a Riyadh hospital and his brother, Crown Prince Abdullah, has been appointed the country's new monarch, the Saudi royal court announced in a statement."With all sorrow and sadness, the royal court in the name of his highness Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz and all members of the family announces the death of the servant of the two shrines, King Fahd bin Abdel Aziz," according to a statement read on state-run Saudi TV by the country's information minister.
Would it be inappropriate to suggest unloading one's Johnny Walker stock? It's gonna take a hit on this news.

There is opportunity, though I doubt my fantasy solution to the mideast will be implemented.

Ah, the night owls are out!
Stinkerr, I guess it's too much to hope that this turn of events would have the same effect on oil.
Aaron, will check your post (and answer to the other one) later on today.

Yeah, I had driven eight hours and consumed copious amounts of coffee/crappuccino. No sleep for me until the birdies started singing this morning.
That's my excuse for last night, anyway. Other excuses will be formulated on demand. ;-)

Oh, and I don't see much of anything lowering the price of oil. Too many people have too much interest in seeing it kept high. Every event seems to be an excuse to raise the price, unfortunately.

I don't expect changes. King Fahd hasn't been in charge of Saudi Arabia for years. Crown Prince Abdullah just gets a fancier title; his real powers do not change.
