Can’t get too worked up over this…
…especially after seeing this.
Not being funny would be the cardinal sin in either case. Guess which one nearly made me fall out of my chair laughing and which did not?

But did you see this one? (granted, it's not about race) "Voting for Bush is like running in the Special Olympics - Even if you win, you're still retarded"

Precision high strength aluminum tubes, at $50 to $100 each, might serve in place of a 10 cent steel tube, just as a diamond tipped bullet might kill, but why? Another blob of bull.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I don't get the Danziger cartoon-other than it's anti-Condi.

alt: Exactly. The reference is to the Butterfly McQueen character in the movie Gone with the Wind (I don't nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies!). Few people under fifty (Americans) have seen the movie and not many of those who are fifty and older are on line. I'm under fifty, but not by much, and I saw the movie many years ago, so I had to think too long about the reference. That's a comedy killer.

I'm over 50 and I caught the GWTW reference. I don't find the cartoon funny though.
Following your link, it would appear that the Condi cartoon has been taken down from the site. Could the New York Times syndicate have reconsidered the propriety?

What a racist thing to say about such a brilliant and intelligent woman. I wish I were half as smart as she is.
I loved the Al Sharpton one though.
