We’ve chronicled the symptoms. Dr. Krauthammer has the diagnosis, featuring Exhibit A.
Here’s a slice:
It [BDS] is, of course, epidemic in New York's Upper West Side and the tonier parts of Los Angeles, where the very sight of the president -- say, smiling while holding a tray of Thanksgiving turkey in a Baghdad mess hall -- caused dozens of cases of apoplexy in otherwise healthy adults. What is worrying epidemiologists about the Dean incident, however, is that heretofore no case had been reported in Vermont, or any other dairy state.(Thanks to Vodkapundit)
Amazing as it might be, I run into people that I work with in the Pentagon who think the 9/11 was "created" by Bush. When I start asking them, "Well, how did he do that?," their theories get wilder and loopier and more inane until they start the usual "Well, he's an idiot, etc.," even though, on the other hand, they give him credit for "pulling off" 9/11.
I smile, nod my head, and begin to tune them out.

Pentagon=perfumed princes, distanced from reality.Great article Juliette.Dean is losing focus,it's surprising to see a major US daily comment on it but that's Krauthammer for you, always to the point on important issues.

Marty: Anyone I know?

Juliette...nope. It doesn't happen too often, but just enough to make me go "Huh?" Usually government civilians who have no chance of getting fired for substandard performance.
It's usually not a blatant thing, either, but more a "Yeah!" when some idiot on one of the news shows makes these "points."
With all the information at their disposal to know better, some folks still prefer the taste of sand in their mouths.
